News Round Up: April 16, 2018

Top Story: The Massachusetts House proposed a state budget that includes an expansion of the state’s Earned Income Tax Credit (EITC) from 23 to 30 percent of the federal credit. (

  • A new poll released by Arkansas Advocates for Children and Families (AACF) finds that an overwhelming majority of Arkansans (79 percent) support enacting a state-level EITC. (AACF)
  • In honor of Equal Pay Day on April 10th, the Center on Budget and Policy Priorities examined how state-level EITCs boost working women’s income and help them support their families. (CBPP)
